WhatsApp is an alternative mobile messaging application that can save lots of money on your phone bill by avoiding SMS data rates. But how does it work? The WhatsApp feature uses the same data plan as both email and web browsing so that users can use Wi-Fi when available and only use straight up data to communicate with users.

The user friendly interface can allow for group chats, photo and video sharing, and share locations. While similar to and owned by Facebook, the ability to download an app saves users from having to access a web browser and log in to their account each time they plan to use social media.
To install the device on your Nokia phone, go to the media menu, click options, then download, then hit “go to address” and load this page which is specific for the Official Nokia x2 Whatsapp versions. It may take a few seconds to load, then click on the button that says “download now”. You will be prompted with a message on the version, size, and vendor for the application that you must accept to continue.

Now let’s see some basic option to use and configure Whatsapp on your Nokia X2 phone with “Groups”. To create a group on you Nokia, just launch the application and under the chats button, select “new group”. The group “subject” must always be clear and direct, so that your recipients quickly understand the topic and don’t mistakenly delete the conversation. Then go to participants, and select the friends you want to add to your group chat. After the invitations, go to create and your chat group should be ready to go. All your friends in your phone should link into your WhatsApp account. If you contact someone with an unsaved number, you can save it to your phone by going to options and then tapping the “add contact” button.
Some things to keep in mind with the product is to make sure you have a supported carrier. Some users using Nokia phones may not use the main carriers such as Verizon or AT&T, and it’s possible to encounter issues since data service is provided by the carriers, depending also on the Country you live: indeed, as said before, the official Nokia X2-01 Whatsapp version is not yet supported by Vodafone in Portugal and VIVO in Brazil. On the plus side, when traveling internationally, WhatsApp is always the best (and cheapest) alternative to communicate, as texting rates can skyrocket when messaging intercontinental.
